We purchased DK when our coloured Supreme Champion wasn't initially fertile, but as Murphy's Law would have it he has since come good, thus making DK surplus to requirements. This is therefore an opportunity for someone to purchase this upstanding, beautifully coloured young male for a heavily discounted price. He deserves more work in a coloured breeding program!

Bloodline

His sire is Sierra Vista Dark Knight, one of (if not) the predominant sires of dark alpacas in NZ and the sire of numerous quality offspring. His dam is Sierra Vista Golden Swan from the highly acclaimed Sierra Vista Stud and the family of many quality alpacas.

DK's fleece has incredible handle, even into his latter fleeces - a sign of both fineness and uniformity. His last 2 samples have been from our new property with an abundence of feed and would undoubtably be lower on harder feed, yet till very acceptable.

Progeny

DK has produced 2 cria - both males with similar great fleece handle in colours of dark fawn and dark brown. Both are good quality and have been shown with solid results, including Khonshu receiving Champion Junior at Balclutha 2023. I would love to have daughters from him but just can't find space in our breeding program to try.
